Texas Police Officers Reunite with Child They Saved Following Near-Fatal Pool Drowning

On May 1, Officer Davachi and Sergeant Brady of the Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD) came to the rescue of a 2-year-old boy named Rowdy who nearly drowned in a pool. When the officers arrived on the scene, the boy’s mother was performing CPR. The officers “immediately took over chest compressions while Sergeant Brady assisted with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation,” according to a press release from the FWPD. Miraculously, a week later on May 8, the FWPD received the news that despite his earlier complications, little Rowdy made a full recovery from the accident.  Once he was officially released from the hospital, “Officer Davachi, along with the entire second shift team who responded to the initial call, visited Rowdy and his family,” according to the release.
